Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor praised megastar Shahrukh for standing up against Shiv Sena during the controversy surrounding the release of ‘My Name Is Khan’, saying that the bullying of artistes by political groups needs to stop. Shiv Sena had demanded that the megastar apologise for his comments favouring inclusion of Pakistani players in IPL and threatened to halt ‘MNIK’s release. “I think  SRK was completely right, he did not bow down to anybody. He was not wrong in his belief and did not apologise to anybody. I would like to believe that I would have stood up against the Thackerays if something like that would have happened to me,” said Ranbir.

The young actor had faced a similar situation with MNS and Raj Thackeray during the release of his film ‘Wake Up Sid’ for using the word ‘Bombay’ instead of ‘Mumbai’ in the film. “We used the word ‘Bombay’ in the film and the MNS party opposed that. But the film is fiction and this is a part of somebody’s vision. I so many times say Bombay and not Mumbai and because I’ve grown up with the word,” he said adding that the the arm-twisting of artistes should stop. “Yes, it is bullying, it is something that has to stop. I don’t know how to stop it as there is a lot of power that is involved and I am too small to stand up against such power,” Ranbir added.

King of Bollywood is ready to march the Hollywood way. Buzz further has it, that SRK will star in this out of home project with Hollywood’s ‘boy-face’ Leonardo Di Caprio. It all clicked for him when SRK went to the famous Berlin Film Festival for the promotion of My Name is Khan, and met up with Leonardo and Martin Scorsese.

Spectators, stars and media alike, witnessed an easily coming camaraderie among the trio.
In consequence, happened all the lets-make-a-movie-together talk. Xtrme City, directed by Paul Schrader, has been in the making for quite a while now and apparently SRK, in attending the Berlin party, had vague plans to pursue this idea which was ultimately proposed.

A movie that that combines a beloved face each from two of the world’s largest and most successful cinema houses – Bollywood and Hollywood -  is sure to rock at box office.Until then, we wait with breaths abated!

Shahrukh and Leonardo to star in a movie together

Shahrukh Khan recently said to a Tabloid that he and Aamir are friends. He considers that both of them have the same sense of humour. Shahrukh is never bothered about her box office figures, so he is not bothered about other’s collection.

Shahrukh feels he has grown as an actor after doing ‘My Name is Khan’.Recently when he performed in Dubai, he could feel the vibes from the audience were warmer than usual.Shahrukh will only do selective roles now.

He won’t be doing cameos and guest appearances any more. Shahrukh feels My Name is Khan has brought altogether a different set of self realization.

Will he, won’t he? This is the question on everybody’s mouth on the strong cheerleader of Kolkata Knight Riders, SRK.

But now, King Khan has cleared his stand that he will attend today’s match of KKR.

He said, “How strange and easy would that be if my presence decided the fate of matches! The fate of the matches is decided by who plays well on that day.”

He says, “I will watch it in the stadium if all our seating, etc are done. Otherwise with the family at the hotel. Lalit Modi, Brian Lara, are all here.

So, this may be a welcome news for the KKR’s as their owner is back to cheering them. Meanwhile, the lucky charm for the team, Juhi Chawala, will also be present at the match.

Superstitious SRK to appear today

It has been a wonder for the people from the industry as well as fans that even though a majority of Bollywood is on Twitter, Kareena Kapoor continues to evade the microblogging site. At Shahrukh Khan’s press conference for Ra.1, she was asked why she wasn’t tweeting yet.

Kareena expressed that she was still not sure about the whole idea and would need at least another month to settle on an answer. Kareena needs to think about it so carefully because at present she’s too tied up with work to sign up on the site and start using it. Also, she wonders if she will be able to stick by it regularly once she starts it.

Well, let’s give Kareena the time she needs. Maybe we’ll see her on Twitter soon!
