RGV receives death threat

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is paying the cost for making a film based on a real life story. He has been receiving death threats from the day he began working on Rakta Charitra. Now, Ubala Reddy, a competitor of late Naxalite leader Paritala Ravi has threatened Varma.The family of Ubala Reddy has filed a suit against the filmmaker and even threatened him for portraying the character of Ubala in a negative light.

In the movie, the character of Ubala Reddy is played by the actor Abhimanyu Singh.A source was quoted stating that the family of Ubala and some of his supporters have given death threats to Ram Gopal Varma for portraying Ubala’s character in a negative manner.

The filmmaker verified the news of threats by the Ubala family. He also mentioned that he is receiving threatening messages and calls.RGV included that even though the family members of Ubala are against him, there are evidences of many of his criminal cases against him before he was assassinated in 1999.

Aamir Khan in place of SRK

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in recent times met up with maverick director Aditya Chopra and they discussed the production of Dhoom 3. The plan of the third part had impressed Aamir, and Aditya offered the villain’s part to the actor.However, according to the news, Aditya had first offered the similar part to Shah Rukh Khan.

According to a source, Chopra Jr wanted Shah Rukh on board because he felt that only he could lend colour to the malevolent character.“Before, this part was offered to Shahrukh Khan  but he turned it down for reasons best known to him. It was then that Aamir came into the picture,” said the source. Along with Dhoom 3, Aamir has also been offered another script from Yash Raj Films.

It is a romantic movie to be made by Yash Chopra but nothing has been decided. Aamir still has to take a call on whether he wants to do the film or not.

Amrita Rao To Work With Sooraj Barjatya Once Again

Amrita Rao is set to team up with one of her favourite film-maker Sooraj R Barjatya after four years.The actor owes one of her career’s biggest hits to Sooraj who directed Amrita in Vivah in 2010The movie about upholding family values and the great Indian marriage also starred Shahid Kapoor.And went on to become a blockbuster that launched Shahid as the next big solo star in Bollywood.

A reliable source close to the development of the film reveals, “Amrita was called by Sooraj himself who.

He has expressed his desire to cast her in his next that he is currently writing. It appears that the film is being written keeping Amrita in mind.

As the film will revolve around her character. It is a very strong character that the actor has to play and she is ecstatic after her phone conversation with Sooraj. They are set to have a meeting on this soon. Amrita adores Sooraj and respects him for trusting her with Vivah that really boosted her film career. She hopes to emulate the same feat with Sooraj’s forthcoming movie.”

But the most interesting news that is emerging from this development is that Amrita might again be teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for this film. Shahid has been sporadically hinted by reports that Shahid and Amrita’s relationship has become blow hot-blow cold. Some say they are estranged while some maintain they are still good friends. If the gossip turns out to be true, this movie would mark them teaming up after four years too.

“Amrita and Shahid has been quite a successful jodi in the industry having done Ishq Vishk and Vivah and both being hits. But after 2006 they haven’t worked with each other propelled gossip that they aren’t really friends anymore. But they have always been cordial whenever they have met each other and in public or social dos. If this happens, it would put rumours about their equation to rest for sure,” adds the insider.

The most new news in the sports is that King 11 Punjab may get sold to Russian billionaire and EPL club Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. But our tinsel city too does make news as one of the co-owners actress Preity Zinta could get 7% stake after her team is sold off to the Chelsea owner.

King 11 Punjab will be the first franchise to be sold off soon after the investigations by income-tax experts into Indian Premiere League are over. However, the sources added that when Chelsea authorities were approached for the confirmation of the news. They declined to give one for they are still awaiting BCCI’s permission to do so.

Court notice sent to Vivek Oberoi

Vivek Oberoi not too long ago hit the head lines for his engagement to Priyanka Alva. He is in the news again.The Delhi High Court has released notice to him and his Delhi-based corporation Yashi Multimedia Private Limited following a recovery suit filed by Mehta Entertainment company established in Mumbai.A court notice has been released to Vivek, his father Suresh Oberoi and sister Meghna Oberoi by Justice S. Ravindra Bhat.

In the suit, Mehta Entertainment has sought Rs.4.86 crore as damages. The suit stated that Vivek and his company had taken an advance of Rs. 1 lakh from Mehta Entertainment to complete at a stage show in Canada and US in 2003 but failed to conduct citing bad health..The entertainment firm has finally approched the Delhi High Court after the Oberois failed to respond to the many lawful notices delivered to them to return the said amount.

Now the court has asked the Oberois to file their replies by November 1.
