With a decade into Bollywood and a myriad roles to his credit, actor Abhishek Bachchan says he is not averse to doing Hollywood movies.”Why not? The lines are blurring, there`s been a lot of exchange in terms of ability, technical as well as acting, among European, British, American and Indian cinema. If there is a script that is appealing enough then most definitely,”Abhishek said in CNN`s “Connect the World` programme.
The 34-year-old star, however, added that he does not see a big deal about Hollywood. “I`d rather ask when are they going to come and act in our films and dance around trees with fifty people? That would be far more interesting.””Traditionally, Indian movies were viewed domestically and in the Indian subcontinent and then watched by a select expatriate audience,” he said, adding due to a influx of foreign media here the world is waking up to Indian cinema.Abhishek was in London for the Tongues on Fire Film Festival recently.
Speaking about his association with the festival, he said initially he felt he was a bit under-qualified to be represented like this. “After a while I said it`s nice that the younger generation of the world`s largest film industry is a generation that a lot of people are showing interest in.”

Abhishek waits for his ticket to Hollywood
The Hong Kong International Film Festival plans to honour Indian screen legend Amitabh Bachchan with a lifetime achievement award at the event`s Asian Film Awards. Organisers said in a statement late Friday the 67-year-old actor will accept the award in person at the annual prize ceremony on March 22.
Bachchan has appeared in more than 100 movies in a career spanning four decades. His recent credits include “The Last Lear,” “Sarkar Raj” and “Paa.”Festival director Shaw Soo Wei said Bachchan left a mark on world cinema “with tremendous talent, a rigorous work ethic and an uncanny ability to reinvent himself.”
Organizers will also present Chinese director Zhang Yimou with an award for outstanding contributions to Asian cinema.

Hong Kong awards to honour Big B
After fighting over the same man — Ranbir Kapoor — now, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are now favouring the same team. The two actresses who have made it clear on several occasions that they want to stay as far away from each other, have now signed up to support Vijay Mallya’s team Royal Challengers for the upcoming IPL season.
The last time they two actresses came face-to-face, they both turned the other way and walked away. So it will be interesting to see them on the same platform.
An insider reveals, “Despite them cheering for the same team, the two actresses have ensured they don’t ever come face to face. A source reveals, “Everything has been worked out to make sure things don’t get uncomfortable for either of them. While Katrina will be travelling with the team all over, Deepika will only cheer for the matches played in Bangalore. Their schedules have also been worked out to ensure there are no clashes between the two.”
Deepika has been approached because of her passion and interest in sports. A source says, “Deepika is very attached to Bangalore and has a huge fan following at home. Also she is very enthusiastic about promoting sports. She will be present for the teams matches in Bangalore and support them.”
