She is known as one of the best dancers in Bollywood and Shilpa Shetty certainly has left audiences gasping for more with her hot body and seductive dance moves — the last time being in Dostana. However, this glam girl does have a secret wish as a dancer that hasn’t been fulfilled. The actor wanted to do a mujra on screen much like those done by Rekha in Umrao Jaan.

“Shilpa is well known for her jhatkas and matkas and she recently revealed her secret desire in a TV reality talent show Zara Nachke Dikha. Apparently, the actress has attempted almost all dance forms but never got any offer to do a mujra despite being a trained and an acclaimed dancer,” says a source.
While judging a contestant’s performance on the iconic song Inhi Logo Ne, Shilpa couldn’t control her emotions and expressed that she always wanted to do a mujra in her career but never got the opportunity to do so. She not only showcased her passion towards the dance form but also gave few tips to the contestant on how to better the mujra. She is also hopeful that she might get the platform through the show for her wish to come true,” adds the insider.

Shilpa Shetty had a tough time shooting for her upcoming reality show ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’ when she had to shoot for 22 hours at a stretch.

‘Started shooting for ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’. Shot for 22 hours at a stretch. There was a technical glitch and had to shoot two episodes as to get the combination dates of all artists again would have been impossible before the cut off… well our lives are not as glamorous as they look!’ she wrote on her blog.

The show, set to go on air from May 1 on STAR Plus, will see TV actors and actresses competing with each other on the dance floor.

The girls team include Aditi Gupta, Hazel Crowney, Kritika Kamra, Mukti Mohan, Rakhi Sawant, Rashmi Desai, Sangeeta Ghosh, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sparsh Khanchandani.

The boys participating in the show are Aamir Ali, Abhishek Avasthi, Angad Hasija, Karan Kundra, Kapil Nirmal, Aksshat Seluja, Siddhesh Pai, Sushant Rajput and Ayesh Khedekar.

Apart from Shilpa, the judges panel also includes actor Arshad Warsi and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant.

Shilpa had earlier judged celebrity dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’.

Shilpa shot non-stop for 22 hours for reality show

The drama queen Rakhi Sawant is all set to participate in a dance reality show! Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant will contest against her ex-boyfriend Abhishek Avasthi in an upcoming celebrity dance reality show ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’, to be aired on STAR Plus soon.

‘I am a performer. Whoever comes and performs, be it Abhishek (Avasthi), Shah Rukh or Aamir Khan, I am going to fight equally. I don’t care for anyone. I am not scared of any one. The girls team will win for sure,’ Rakhi said at a recent press meet.

The programme would showcase a battle between sexes on the dance floor for over nine weeks. The selected female television artistes teamed up for the contest include Rakhi, Aditi Gupta, Hazel Crowney, Kritika Kamra, Mukti Mohan, Rashmi Desai, Sangeeta Ghosh, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Saparsh Kanchandani among others.

The male team comprises Aamir Ali, Avishek Avasthi, Angad Hasija, Karan Kundra, Karan Singh Grover, Aksshat Seluja, Siddhesh Pai, Sushant Rajput and Ayush Khedekar among others.
